The Riverside Grille was founded in 2010 by two friends, Jonathan Fox and Gerrit Vander Kaaden. Jonathan and Gerrit were college roomates who developed a passion for cooking during their years at the University of Maine at Farmington. After school, the two remained close while working in a number of different fields. In their spare time, they perfected cooking skills to the point where they joked about owning their own restaurant together.In the fall of 2009, Jonathan stumbled across a waterfront lot on the Assonet River. He brought Gerrit to the site and the rest is history. The Riverside Grille has been serving the finest local cuisine in an gorgeous waterfront setting since the Fall of 2010.
